I'm alive I promise
Kamusta po everyone!
Yeah so sorry for not emailing last week kinda caught up with everything here at the mtc but im chilling now. Anyways, I'll try to catch you all up to speed.
Home MTC
Home mtc was a blessing. I loved getting to know my Companion and my district over zoom before in person because I am mad awkward. My Companion is Elder Grow, He is from Morgan Utah, he plays soccer and is such a dope dude. My district is so cool I will probably talk about them a lot in the following weeks. But home mtc was nice the first day was such a spiritual high it was amazing. That next week was cool. There were definitely some ups and downs but having the constant companion of the holy ghost is such a surreal feeling and is something I hope stays with me for the rest of my life. Not much really happened during this week, it was really just to get to know my district.
Provo MTC 1st week!
Getting dropped off at the MTC was a lot more emotional than I thought it was going to be. My family played it off really well all week telling me how excited they were for me to meet my district and then when we all packed into the van everything changed. We got to the Provo MTC around 1:30 on Wednesday the 11th. When we got out of the car the emotions were high. Josh started crying like a baby and so did everyone else. I miss my family a ton but I know the lord is taking care of them for now. The first day here was crazy. Got here and met Elder Grow in my dorm and he's even cooler in person. After we got settled in we went around the building and met everyone else in our district and let me tell you what a group of studs we are. That night we had a Devotional which was good. The next day we had our first full day of class which was amazing. Our morning class from 8:30-11:30 is with Sister Wood and Sister Porter. They are great super good teachers. Our afternoon class from 1:30-4:30 is Brother Kleinman and Sister Alves honestly like them more shhhh. We've played a lot of volleyball and basketball so far and it's mad fun. I also got mad sick this week which was fun.
MTC Week 2
First full week here. Sunday here is soooo great. The amount of joy is absurd. Sunday we start with sacrament at 8:30 and have an elders quorum right after which was amazing. We had a Go and Do experience which is like an hour and a half of personal study where you just let the spirit guide you in study. It was very nice. Monday was hard because it was back to class. The only thing that happened today was our HOA. Which is like a practice teaching an investigator it was amazing and was 100% spirit led. Tuesday is my p-day and it is much needed, let me tell you it was nice to see my family. Tuesday night we had our first devotional but I honestly don't remember what it was about. Wednesday we had to host the new missionaries which was kinda sad to be honest because it was still fresh in my mind but it also made me feel like I've been here forever. I also woke up with weird spots on my arm. I just think it's my body adjusting to missionary life. We got to miss most of class that day which was super nice because Tagalog is not my strong suit. It is coming along but very slowly :). Thursday I don't remember at all I'm not doing very good. We are supposed to journal every night and my and Elder Grow struggle to remember what happened throughout the day. I promise I'll do better next week. Friday me and Elder Grow gave Sister Lindsey in our district a blessing of comfort which was cool. Saturday was our last English PMG class so we are hoping this week goes well. The English speaking missionaries that got here at the same time as us left this morning which was kinda weird cause we still have 6 more weeks.
Next week will be a better Email but that's all for now
Love y'all!
