WEEK 7 :(

Wassup y'all!! 7 weeks just like that. It's been such a crazy experience thus far and continues to get crazier. Only 2 more weeks here before they ship me off and to say I'm nervous would be an understatement. I do not feel ready at all in a language aspect or gospel or culture. It is going to be such a humbling experience that I can not wait for. I am also beyond excited to actually start this journey of teaching the wonderful people of San Pablo!

Tuesday-

What a crazy day. We woke up early to go to the temple to do Endowments. The temple has a place in my heart that will never be touched. The joy of being in the temple to do the ordinances of those who are waiting for them beyond the veil is overwhelming. Going to the temple once a week with my friends back in St. Geezy was some of the best memories I have and being able to now do that here with my district as a set apart missionary it's amazing. I would invite all of you to go to the temple and make time for it every week because like the Prophet said at this last General Conference "In the temple we receive protection from the buffetings of the world. We experience the pure love of Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father in great abundance!"

Tuesday Part 2 -

Tuesday Night during our General Authority Devo we had the opportunity and privilege to hear from Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the 12. It was a surreal experience. The spirit he brought into the room when he walked in was insane. It was easy to tell that he was called by God to help lead this church. Some of my main takeaways of his talk were-

1. "Success" is doing well with what you can control like your Thoughts, Actions, and Feelings.

2. Your influence will extend far beyond the things you will see and know. You might not know but a smile or 1 invitation could change someone's life.

3. The influence and work you do will bless Generations here and beyond the veil.

4. He talked about Oliver Granger. Who stayed in Ohio while the rest of them traveled west. Utchdorf talks about the blessing Oliver Granger is giving "For his Sacrifice shall be more sacred unto me than his Increase, saith the Lord." and applied it to us and how what we are leaving behind will be all enhanced when we get back.

Wednesday-

Woke up mad sick again but it is honestly expected by this point. I've been taking so many drugs it's insane. It has finally dropped so i've been wearing my sweater everyday. Honestly being sick kinda just made me hate the rest of the day. We had an HOA today and we didn't prepare but it went really well. Later that night we went to play basketball and me Elder Caldon and Elder Hess were playing these 3 kids and we were giving them 10 points and we tried to come back we did but one play Elder Caldon was driving to the hoop and some kid opened the closet door under the basket and Caldon ran into it and busted his head open.

Thursday-

We got a new Teacher today Brother Strearman. He's a dog. We had another HOA today with Brother Stearman and it actually went way good.

Friday-

Today was so chillll. This was the only day this week we didn't have an HOA so I had nothing to stress about. We switched our tutoring up so now half of us do it in the morning and the other half in the afternoon it makes it a lot better. While we didn't have tutoring we went and bought matching ties. It was mad cute.

Saturday-

Final HOA of this week. Went terrible. We tried to teach a new person and she threw a right hook at us and we didn't know what to respond with sooo.

Sunday-

Love sundays!! We had to give a mini lesson in Branch council now that we are ZL's. Being ZL is fun because we just get to assign whoever we want to sacrament and we are over everyone so we get to hear all the drama. It's a good switch up. I also had to conduct Elders Quorum which was fun.

Monday-

We stayed up way too late Sunday night with our roommates so it wasn't the best day. I was just super tired all day and ready to take a nap. We had a Music Devo tonight even though it was a monday. But The Bonner Family came and sang to us and I have never heard of them but they have amazing voices. Definitely a great way to start the week off too.

Anyways, Love y'all so much. If you ever get bored feel free to reach out. Praying for y'all.
