Summertime Sadness - Lana Del Rey.

Yooooo, whats up yall! Hope yall have had an amazing week. I miss yall a lot. Officially been here in the Philippines for about a week and a half. I think that makes me native or something like that.

This week has really been such a humbling experience but in a good way. The people here don't have a lot but they make do with what they got and its so amazing to see hoe they still have smiling faces. Its really nice to because they are all so caring to me and want me to speak Tagalog to them even though its super broken.

Monday we drove to Santa Cruz on the other side of the island for my Comp Elder Pogai's baptisms. That was such a cool experience being able to see these kids make that first covenant with God. We also found a gym and have been going every day but lets be honest I don't think that's a surprise to anyone lol.

This place is super funny because I am white all the girls freak out when they see me so I just wave to all of them and they just freak out more. It does get kinda annoying at times because everyone does just always stare but I've just learned to smile and wave.

I've been able to share the 1st vision in Tagalog a couple of times which was dope but that's about it. This language is so hard and the people speak so fast. It just going to take time but its fun to just listen.

Saturday we were supposed to get hit by a typhoon but luckily it missed us. We bought a lot of food just in case. Sunday we had to give talks in church and i gave a solid 5 minute talk all in Tagalog and left Elder Pogai to talk for 20. Then we went home and ate all the food we had just bought for the typhoon.

 He made it!  I can't wait until Sunday night to hear how it really went and all the adventures it took to get them all there.  But, this much I know...They left around 11:30 on a bus to the Trax Station where they got on in Provo and went straight up to the airport.  Sophie jumped on in Lehi and travelled with them all.  She took him some Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies.  They got up to airport, checked in their luggage, and went through security without any problems that I know of.  They had until 6pm to eat and play some games.  I sent a mini Bop-It, Simon and some UNO Cards for them to play while they waited.  They all got on without any problems and flew to LAX.  This is where it all gets sketchy...   Kamusta po everyone! Yeah so sorry for not emailing last week kinda caught up with everything here at the mtc but im chilling now. Anyways, I'll try to catch you all up to speed. Home MTC Home mtc was a blessing. I loved getting to know my Companion and my district over zoom before in person because I am mad awkward. My Companion is Elder Grow, He is from Morgan Utah, he plays soccer and is such a dope dude. My district is so cool I will probably talk about them a lot in the following weeks. But home mtc was nice the first day was such a spiritual high it was amazing. That next week was cool. There were definitely some ups and downs but having the constant companion of the holy ghost is such a surreal feeling and is something I hope stays with me for the rest of my life.   Hello po! What's up y'all. Hope you all are doing well! The MTC has been such a fun experience thus far. This last week was definitely a rollercoaster but it was all good. So Tuesday night we had our Big Devotional we have every Tuesday. This week's Devotion was amazing, Brian K. Taylor from the Quorum of the Seventy came and talked to us. His messages were truly amazing. He shared a quote from President Ezra Taft Benson: "If you have the Spirit (Holy Ghost) in your life, you will achieve your righteous desires. And if you don't you won't!" I just thought that this quote was truly amazing and so simple that I would share. We have another Devotional Tonight and we are all super excited because this weekend is General Conference so we have a hunch that it might be one of the 12 tonight since they should all be in town!!   Wednesday was a long day.
